As per the Reiki practitioners, the energy of the body lessens when the body experiences physical injury or pain. This energy block causes illness. The energy transfer helps to flow the energy in the body and remove the blocks. It leads to relaxation, lessening in pain, speedy healing, etc.
Energetic healing is there for several years. It was more developed in 1922 by a Japanese Buddhist called Mikao Usui. He taught more than 2000 people about the method and the benefits of Reiki to the people. It is also called palm healing or hands-on healing.
N a Reiki session, a peaceful setting arrangement is made. The patient is asked to sit in a comfortable chair or on the ground over the mat. Then, the practitioner places his hands lightly on the palm or the affected areas of the patient, such as head, limbs, torso, for about 2 and 5 minutes.
In case of an injury, the hand is kept just above the wound. The practitioner holds his hands gently over the body and transfers the energy. You may feel that practitioner’s hands are warm and tingling. The practitioner stops when he senses that the energy has ceased to flow. Then, he removes his hands and places the same in a different area of the body.
